The development of the current power system focuses on the usage of ecological resources. Low power loss, low maintenance spending, reliable performance, flexible configuration are required on the medium voltage switchgear. Due to its features such as long service life, compact size, and recycling, Energypac ERM ring main units have proved successful in terms of economy and ecology. It appears more important for underground cabled power distribution network in improving its devices and other aspects, with the rapid development of urbanization; ring main units (RMU), as the major device for protection and segment isolation to ground cabled distribution network, are widely used in urban power grids, due to its safe and reliable performance, compact and superior cost-effectiveness. Based on the design concept of full insulation and fully sealed, all primary parts within ERM RMU are fully sealed inside the stainless-steel main enclosure, protect too against condensation and external contaminated environment; the protection degree of the main tank body is up to IP67. Its modular unit, anticorrosion enclosure, and perfect tightness make them suitable for applications in various places.

LOAD BREAK SWITCH (LBS)
Load Break switch is a common piece of equipment in an electrical substation to turn off and on the power to the transformer. It is used to isolate the substation from the distribution incoming line. Generally, a 12 kV load break switch is placed before a 12kV/415V transformer so that in case of a shutdown, it can be turned off and the main distribution line to other users does not interrupt. It is a mechanical switch protection system that is cheaper than a Vaccum circuit breaker. There are two types of LBS currently available in the international market. One is Air-insulated LBS, most of the LBS user clients in Bangladesh use this type of LBS . Air-insulated means the switching system is operated in a medium surrounded by air. Another one is gas-insulated LBS which is fairly new to this industry. In Gas Insulated LBS the switching operation is done in a closed chamber with a gas having high dielectric properties such as SF6 gas. Energypac Engineering is the biggest Local supplier of Air-insulated LBS in Bangladesh. But recently we have launched a new Gas Insulated LBS as well.
